Don't Be A Drag Just Be A Queen For Comic Relief

Last Tuesday I had one of the best nights out ever!!!! Two of my good friends came over to get ready for a night out in aid of comic relief. My BFF Shola also came over to make me up - amazing eye make-up, long red hair, gold dress and of course 6-inch heels! Over two hours I became a drag queen! I really didn't think i'd enjoy any of it but surprisingly did.

It was all bit last minute for all of us and two days before I almost pulled of doing it but im glad we all did our bit. We made a massive effort and had a great night out. It really was so surprising how many of our good friends didn't even recognise us but saying that I couldn't recognise my self just looking in the mirror, I looked like a different person!

We all got to dress up as silly girls, get drunk, have fun and at the same time raise loads of money for comic relief. I have the most respect for girls that spend the whole evening in hells as of now! My feet felt like someone had cut off all blood supply but I strived on and only took my shoes off once, but to be fair I spent a lot of the night in a chair dancing. If it wasn't for my friend Aaron and Andrew I would have floored it around 4 times! My heels were so high that I couldn't feel my feet half of the night and had a few ankle problems, it really was totally new for me!

We rounded up our evening around 3am to get food and a taxi home. It really was surprising how much male attention we all got as girls, you could tell we were all blokes but for some reason they loved it.

Anyways....We made over £1,000 in 24hrs due to posting on my Twitter and my Facebook account which I thought was amazing and really has inspired me to do more for charity. If you guys ever want to raise money for a great cause I recommend doing what we did its a great laugh and a fantastic result.

Jessie Cornish AKA Jessie J WHO YOU ARE.....REALLY!!!

I'v met jessie a number of times before smash hit "Do It Like A Dude" and before all the leather jackets and the pointy spike lipstick i met Jessie Cornish. My first thought was always that she will go far but i have to be honest i never thought she would be so big so quick but hey thats showbiz!!!

I'm not necessarily saying i like her, but i sense from her power of a voice and her hugely commercial songs that she is going to be massive. People in this country love big strong voices that hit high notes and blast you with hurricane force, and Jessie J is one of those. And she can do it live although i don't like the live j j j j j j j j Jessie J bit, bit toooo much for me.After hearing "Do It Like A Dude" the first feeling i got was it doesn't need machines to make it sound "good". It is, technically, impressive enough to give GaGa's people sleepless nights.

But she's more than just A Voice. She writes, too – not just doodles in her bedroom i mean songs. Hit songs. And not theoretical ones, either. She wrote Party in the USA for Miley Cyrus, which even grown-ups admit is a great pop tune. And she's from Essex! We all love Essex girls thanks to the Only Way Is Essex and the lovely Amy Childs.I'v been listening to Jessie's 2011 debut album Who You Are loads over the last few days (Think its released on ITunes Today) and they're all pretty good.I had to listen to a few of them more than 4 times but a lot of them are growers! she does grimy R&B on her Labrinth-mixed single Do It Like a Dude and retro-soul Ronson-style with added BoB on Price Tag. Nobody's Perfect is very very Lily Allen-ish feisty pop and Who You Are is the one that could be big in America for me, and indeed could BE American, which they all love in the states!!
So how did this Essex girl get to have BoB on her debut album and write a No 1 for America's biggest teen sensation while also, unbelievably, co-writing songs for Alicia Keys (that's right: "for", not "with"). Long story. But it involves Cornish landing a role, aged 11, on the London stage in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Whistle Down the Wind, signing to Gut Records (aka the home of Right Said Fred) before it went bust, a stint with the famous William Morris Agency in the States, a showcase at the legendary Viper Rooms, meetings with R&B kingpin LA Reid before the 22-year-old then suffered a minor stroke and decided she really needed to get this party started!!!!
At which point, she toured with Chris Brown across Europe, supported Cyndi Lauper, worked with hits master Dr Luke, and did some recordings that got Justin Timberlake to say "She's is the best singer in the world right now" Since then, celebs have been queuing up in cyberspace to praise her, with tweets from, among others, Kylie and Paloma Faith. She's even got her own online TV show, Dare Jessie, about to launch, in which fans will be invited to issue a series of challenges.Well i dare her to take on the Beyoncés and Pinks of this world,Some music writers that then take to the stage don't always do that well but as we are the same age and from the same place i wish her all the luck in the world.I'm a sucker for anyone from London (Leona Lewis) or Essex!!Just feels nicer supporting someone that you know or that you have some connection with.I must admit i have seen, heard, met girls and guys that are unsigned that could match Jessie's vocal anyway but no one could take away her writing abilities and like they say the proof is in the pudding!!!
Stomp, stomp, she's arrived!
Thanks for reading guy's!!!

All Saints Customer Service - Saints Or Sinners???

It all started about 8 years ago for me the day I fell in love with All Saints. I bought my first pair of grey skinny jeans and V-Neck logo jumper. I got the jeans from the girls section cos it wasn't cool in those days for boys to wear spray on skinnies and the jumper I had my eye on for about a week. I got a phone call from my best friend at the time (FYI She's a total bitch now, not spoken for her in years and when i think of her i imagine her playing in the middle of the M25) about a night out and the first thing that came to my head was this All Saints outfit that I had seen in store! These were the days when you could wear All Saints and no-one would know the brand and guys would come up to you all night asking what brand you was wearing!! Ahhh the good old days before the chavs got in there!!!!

I was then bitten by the All Saints bug!

It cost me around £190 pounds which was and suppose still is a lot of money. At the time i had a normal 9-5 job so I only earned £250 a week so £190 out of my weeks wage was leaving me 60 pounds to last me all week including this big night out - but if you really love something then it's worth it, right?

It all began when I was visiting the London, Islington and Essex stores. It is a shop of pure luxury with stripped wooden floors and dark yet beautiful interior detailing, sometimes looking like an abandoned warehouse in parts but they pull off the look perfectly. Bluewater was my fav store and also had major hot staff! I love their unique style and enjoy the very often splurge in there. I've done shoots and tv shows over the years and they have lent or given me clothes to wear so generally a nice company although I have spoken to a few staff at head office (office not store) and they have been totally up their own arse until they realise who is on the other end of the phone!

So basically you are looking at at least £40 for a t-shirt, £95 for a jumper, scarves can be £50 to £80 and jeans start at around £65. Although they did used to be a lot more expensive! I remeber spending at least £95 on jeans.

Although the prices are somewhat high and clearly aimed at the rich, thin, fashionable proportion of today's society, it is a beautiful shop. The sales assistants do not pester you but they are on hand if you need anything and are generally polite and helpful. They do not hover but offer honest opinions when you try things on. When you have selected your purchase you receive it in one of those vintage or sometimes cloth bags that we all love. It has an aged look to it and 'All Saints Spitalfields' written in old fashioned, swirly writing with rope handles. As far as the returns policy goes you cannot get a full refund but you can exchange for something else or a credit note, which is not unusual and can be annoying but you will usually find something else that you want. As far as the shops go, they are generally all the same kind of decor and I have experienced consistently good service in each of the stores that I have visited UNTIL LAST WEEK!

I out for the day wearing a new season denim shirt which i had for around 3 weeks and worn twice. I was walking around Westfield London doing a little shopping before meeting friends for a drink when I realised one of the studded buttons had gone missing on my shirt!! It had to be the button right in the middle as well grrrrr so i couldn't even hide it! I was outside the mens store at the time so I thought i'd return it and get another ready to go meet friends when i arrived in store and explained to the very helpful shop assistant that a button was missing. She walked me over to her manager that instantly looked like a bulldog ready to eat me as soon as i said the word FAULTY! I had explained what had happened and that I had only had it on twice but i could tell from the word go this wasn't gonna be easy. I didn't have a receipt on me obviously as I was wearing it and didn't expect this to happen but she needed to see some proof so I waited on hold to my bank for 20 mins trying to find the exact date and time I purchased the item, or as she told me "I'll have a buttonless shirt and nothing could be done". I know the retail industry like the back of my hand and know if an item is faulty and as you could see still looks brand new you can exchange or even give a refund without a receipt. Unlike most shops All Saints is lucky as you can only buy All Saints from them its not like buying a Lyle and Scott jumper from Choice. Anyways after a very frustrating 20 mins and the bulldog in store telling me to "enjoy" my buttonless shirt night out, I then left.

All Saints Brick Lane

Headed over to the Brick lane store in which I waited around 5 mins before receiving an apology for the faulty item i bought in which i was told a lot have been returned due to this problem and was given a brand new shirt.

All in all

I wont be shopping in the Westfield store ever again and will stick to my local and helpful store in Brick Lane. I totally suggest if anyone else has a problem like this to return it to Brick Lane or even just call ahead to the head office and save you self a journey. All Saints will still remain a good store with me but has been tarnished in my eyes a little. The last week i've been shopping in Religion in Brick Lane and I highly recommend this store - i spent around 500 pounds in which i'm totally happy with all my items. They even gave me a free vest to wear for a bar that I was opening in the week! I know no one will have my clothes as yet and I left the store with a smile on my face so all is good!!

John Galliano cat-fight, over the dinner table, shocker!

The 50-year-old Brit fashionista has been arrested in Paris following an altercation with a couple at a neighbouring table in Paris last night. Worse still, he's been accused of 'hurling racist and abusive insults' at the Jewish woman and Asian male, alongside the obligatory slappy-slaps of an assault arrest.
John Galliano has been an amazing chief designer at Christian Dior since 1996 and produced some fantastic work and a very large multi cultured fan base Although, not currently. Because the Paris fashion house head honchos have suspended him, pending further investigation, stating that that have 'zero tolerance towards any anti-Semitic or racist words or behaviour'. Ouch. John Galliano is currently to be found head in hands - pondering what he's done, and nursing the mother of all hangovers...
According to his lawyer he formally 'denies the accusations made against him'. The police are still investigating though, and witness reports don't sound too good for the clothes-loving accused.
If he is found guilty or even let off with a caution i have a feeling he wont work much in the fashion world or maybe even this could be a career turner for him and make him massive once again?? Well lets face it the fashion and media world love drama!!!!Although I'm not to sure it will go down well with his Chinese and Japanese fans and they are the ones holding all the cash in the fashion industry theses days!!!

Katie Price Takes Harvey To Gay Club In L.A......WHAT!!!????

Katie Price jetted out to America earlier this week and sources say that she was spotted dancing the night away in a gay bar last night which is totally fine right??? Well NO!!!!!! She was accompanied by her disabled son Harvey.
The glamour model/Serial Whore had only arrived in the country when she and her two UGBF'S (Ugly Gay Best Friends) Phil Turner & Gary Cockerill dumped their luggage and took Harvey out to the infamous ‘The Abbey’ club in LA.
A Club Worker Said: (Totally American Accent)
“Jordan was straight at the bar, ordering a round of vodka cocktails and necking hers in seconds. She ended up with three transsexuals performing a lap dance for her.
“All the gay guys were loving Kate and flocking around her. (She was probably paying them in glitter cock rings) She had a brilliant time. No one tried to hit on her or hassle her.” ERRRR IT'S A GAY BAR DOUCHE!! WHY WOULD THEY HIT ON HER????
The onlooker added:
“Harvey had a whale of a time. He loved all the bright, swirling lights" (WELL AS LONG AS HARVEY LOVED THE LIGHTS I GUESS THAT'S FINE ??????? )
Don't get me wrong I'm a total team Andre fan but also love a bit of the Pricey but dont this just scream wrong on so many levels???? And what else is strange is that you can't get a glass of water in L.A without being asked for ID so why should Katie be aloud to use a Gay ADULTS bar as a nursery!!!???
Just goes to show you can do what ya like if you have big tit's, millions in your account and a string of ex-husbands!!!!!

So this is my opinion....What do you lot think?????

Thanks for reading!!!

Welcome to my world bitches!

Hey guys,

I'm Dean Rowland, known from Pineapple Dance Studios on Sky1. People have always told me that I have outrageous opinions so i thought the best way to voice these is through a blog.

I love being honest about what's going on in the world especially celebrity culture, fashion, male grooming and beauty. For example, 'The Only Way Is Essex' - love it or hate it? FUCKING LOVE IT. About time the UK had our very own version of Jersey Shore. Ok, I'm not saying they're as good looking but hey, they have the same money and drive the same cars and all fuck the same people so that qualifies!

As well as giving my opinion on things, I love hearing your views too...

Hope you enjoy what I have to have to say!

Deano

P.S - Oh and here's the legal bullshit - all opinions on this blog are all of my own and none of any companies I am working with or have done so in the past blah blah blah.
