Ok so after my crazy binge eating few weeks and weekend away in the country i'v decided to start a NO carbs diet from this monday 7-3-2011!! And im going hard core with my best friend Shola Ama

We have done loads of diet's over the years and even been to the No:1 BootCamp for two weeks! Some people's bodies just don't agree with carbs as i have been told by my personal trainer and me and Shola know that this is 100% true

This form of diet work's perfect with my type of body and over the year's of doing countless modelling shoots and TV shows it's a perfect quick fix but also can been an amazing long term diet if you keep to how im going to be doing it

Right so from Monday the plan in 2 weeks solid NO CARBS but with 1 cheat day on the sunday! Cheat days are important as when doing no carbs diet your bodies metabolism slows down and your cheat day re-speeds it back up almost burning everything from the cheat day you eat anyway!

Every Saturday will be our weighing day,We will check our progress the day before cheat day!

So guys and girls if you want to join in with is diet follow my blog or follow me on twitter as the more of you that do it the better it will work,Me and Shola have each other and doing a diet is always better when you are doing it with someone as you have each other for support through the good and bad times!

Below is some info on the diet remember to comment on our blogs so we can support each other!!

How Low-Carbohydrate Diets Work

While your body utilizes carbohydrates for energy, many diet experts suggest minimizing carbohydrates is an effective form of weight loss. Multiple studies support this assertion. When blood glucose rises in response to dietary intake of carbohydrates, your pancreas releases insulin, which is the key to losing weight on a low-carbohydrate diet. Health journalist Gary Tubes explains why this happens in an article for the New York Times, What if It's All Been a Big Fat Lie. Insulin is a storage hormone. It is responsible for both escorting fuel (food) into fat cells as body fat storage and keeping it there. In some ways, insulin acts as prison guard, making sure fat finds its way into cells and keeps it locked inside. When you limit carbohydrate intake, your body releases very little insulin. As a result, stored body fat escapes and exits your body. This is the mechanism of low-carbohydrate weight loss.

What Foods Have No Carbs?

Low-carbohydrate diets, such as the Atkins diet, limit the amount of carbohydrates you can eat in order to exert insulin control. In general, most low-carbohydrate diets recommend eating fewer than 50 g of carbohydrates per day, and some suggest eating as few as 20 to 25 g per day. When you consider one cup of white rice has 151 g of carbohydrates, and a slice of bread contains about 15 g of carbohydrates, eating carbohydrate containing foods adds up quickly. Foods with no carbohydrates can help you eat adequate amounts and still limit carbohydrate intake.
What foods have no carbs?

Meat & Animal Protein

All naturally-occurring meats contain no carbohydrates; however, pre-packaged and deli meats are often processed with a sugar and salt solution or seasoning blends, conferring carbohydrates to the meats. Processed and cured meats, such as sausage, ham, bacon, and frankfurters regularly contain small amounts of carbohydrates. Reading package labels is essential to learn if pre-packaged products contain carbohydrates. In their natural state, the following contain zero carbs:
  • Beef
  • Veal
  • Organ meats (including brains, liver, and kidneys)
  • Lamb
  • Pork
  • Tongue
  • Chicken
  • Turkey
  • Fish (such as salmon, trout, and halibut)
  • Duck
  • Goose
  • Fish
  • Shellfish (such as crab, shrimp, and lobster)
  • Mollusks (such as oysters, mussels, and clams)
  • Game meats (such as venison and elk)
  • Exotic meats (such as ostrich and emu)
  • Eggs

Plant Foods

All fruits and vegetables contain carbohydrates. Some contain very low levels, while others are quite high. All plant foods such as seaweed, legumes, nuts, herbs, and spices contain carbs.
