ITV have been accused of fakery on its hit ITV2 series The Only Way Is Essex, after Mark Wright revealed he is filming break-up schenes while still pretending to be engaged.

Last week, stunned viewers saw 24 year old Lauren Goodger accept Mark's proposal - minutes after slagging him off to her sister.  Now a report claims Mark has told pals the whole thing was a stunt to launch the second series.


A friend tells the Daily Star “Mark said that they may have got engaged but there’s no way he will actually walk down the aisle with her.


“He’s still young and isn’t ready to settle down. Everything is just for the cameras.
“Their engagement gets everyone talking, raises their profile and earns them some extra cash. So everyone’s a winner.”


Whilst the pair have allegedly alreadhy split up, Lauren  tells this week's New! Magazine "The ceremony will be traditional and I’ll have a traditional white wedding dress. We haven’t decided on anything else but it will be next year and it will be lovely. We’re so happy and it’s what we both want.  There wouldn’t be a show without Mark and I. The whole show is about me and 
Mark, it’s based around us.”(I really hope you didn't say this lauren because you have obviously never heard the saying "What goes up must come down")
